The Team Behind Armor Masonry Restoration

Gene Rose, General Manager

Gene has more than 30 years of experience in the masonry restoration and preservation industry. Gene is a graduate of Archbishop Ryan High School and attended Drexel University‘s engineering program, as well as being a part of the US Naval Reserve Construction Battalion.

Gene began his career as an apprentice, sponsored by Palmer Bros. Brick Pointing, and later earned his journeyman card working for various union companies such as Structural Maintenance, Joseph Dugan and Palmer Waterproofing. After many successful years of self employment and General Manager of Mara Restoration, he is back at the helm of a seasoned and experienced team that makes up Armor Masonry Restoration, Inc.

Gene is responsible for the day to day field operations, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with industry standards, on schedule, and within budget. His direct field experience, together with his education and leadership ability enables him to lead Armor’s management team.

Charlie Cossman, Chief Estimator

After success with Mara Restoration as the Chief Estimator, Charlie comes to Armor with over 16 years experience in construction estimating, specializing in the masonry restoration trade. Accustomed with all aspects of the estimating process, from proposal composition and contract negotiation to purchasing and supervision, Charlie's trade centered focus allows him to operate with greater knowledge and flexibility.

Gerald McNulty, Estimator and Field Superintendent

A key member of the Armor team Gerry is a masonry and construction veteran with over 25 years industry experience. Gerry's talents are proven in the commercial marketplace, enjoying a long and successful career as a union estimator and field superintendent. Adding outside Project Management to his resume during his tenure as a commercial roofer, Gerry's extensive experience is an invaluable resource for Armor.

Jim Smith, Director of Sales & Marketing
Jim has over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry.  He has worked as a project executive, senior estimator, and most recently sales and marketing. Jim is a creative and diverse revenue producer with vast skills and abilities in: business development, sales, cultivating lucrative relationships, comprehensive product/service knowledge and superior client services.

Jim excels in the management and mentoring of others with an innovative approach that encourages and enables the achievement of imposed goals and objectives. He believes in collaborative team approach which generates a strong desire to succeed and exceed our targets.

Nothing more exemplifies his management and mentoring skills than his position as an Adjunct Professor at Philadelphia University, College of Architecture and Building Environment (CABE). Jim’s involvement with his students is not only to educate but also to mentor and direct them into a positive future.

Jim’s experience blended with his engineering background makes him a valuable asset to our clients and Armor Masonry.

Mike Markey, Field Superintendent
Mike has been in the masonry industry since 2004, beginning as a field worker and then moving on to estimating, supervising, and project management rolls. He is a graduate of Kutztown University with a degree in marketing.

Mike's knowledge of the masonry trade, experience managing jobs small and large, and his communication skills allow Armor Masonry to bring jobs in on time and within budget.

Gene Rose Jr. Safety Coordinator
Gene graduated from Penn State University in 2014. He is responsible for policy development, safety inspections and record keeping. Recently he has developed Armor’s silica program complying with local and federal regulations, started Armor’s safety committee and is responsible for monthly safety meetings. Gene is an enthusiastic member of many industry associations and was recently accepted to the Steering Committee of the GBCA’s Construction Leadership Council. His eagerness and continuing education will guarantee Armor’s ever-growing success.
